Easy, no-fuss Brownies
I've been trying to eliminate boxes from my life. Meaning mixes. As in brownie mixes, cake mixes, etc. I figure, I usually make my own bread, why was I using a box for brownies? Silly. So I've gotten rid of all the cake and brownie mixes, and once I did that I needed to find a great brownie recipe. I only tried a couple because I found this one and loved it! It's so fast it's barely harder than using a box, and it's so much better (and better for you, I'm sure). It only uses one bowl and you just throw everything together and mix it up. I whipped these up on Friday night because my sister and her roommate decided to stop by, and everyone loved them! The gooey chocolate chips make them divine. Yum!
Homemade Brownies
1/2 c. butter, melted
1/2 c. vegetable oil
2 c. sugar
1/2 c. cocoa
4 eggs
3/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 3/4 c. flour
1 cup chocolate chips (about)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. With a wooden spoon, stir together butter, oil, sugar, and cocoa. Add the rest of the ingredients, except the chocolate chips, and mix. Pour into a greased 9x13 pan. Sprinkle the chocolate chips on top and bake for 25-30 minutes. Be careful not to overcook.

Cool, I'll have to try these. Barefoot Contessa has a nice brownie recipe, but it's certainly not fast, so these look good!
Were these more fudge-like or cake-like brownies? They look like a good level of chewiness, yum! I sound like I think I'm some sort of brownie connoisseur, haha. All I know is I've been craving brownies ever since I saw these on here! I think they're going to be one of those recipes that haunts me until I make them. Which is a good thing!
okay, i made these last night! easy, fast and YUM! loved them! thanks!
Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner about these Angie! But I'm glad you tried them and liked them!
